MPC’s 2019-20 Young Adult Volunteer
(YAV) Clara Hare-Grogg
My name is Clara Hare-Grogg! I graduated in May 2019 from Davidson College as a double major in anthropology and music. I grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, and now live with my family in Montreat, North Carolina. During my time in college, I studied the Arabic language in Jordan and became involved in refugee and migrant support in the U.S. I later spent a semester in Nepal to study Tibetan culture in exile and reproductive health in the Himalayas. For my year in the Philippines, I hope to find meaningful community, learn more about PC(USA)’s international presence, and widen my perspective on poverty and development outside of the U.S.
