The Kirkin' o' the Tartan in Montreat

Each year on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, Montreat Presbyterian Church marks the historical origins of Presbyterianism by worshiping with the Montreat Scottish Society’s Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan service in Anderson Auditorium in Montreat.

The Montreat Scottish Society hosts one of the nation’s largest Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan services. The 2024 service included guest preacher The Rev. Dr. Rusty Douglas delivering the sermon. Harold Bost and Tom Donnelly provided special music and The Montreat Scottish Pipes & Drums led the procession of banners.
